Trinity Community Coalition Outreach Receives E-Transit Refrigerated Van from Whole Foods Market

Through Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, Trinity Community Coalition Outreach will redistribute fresh food to those most in need

Memphis, Tennessee (August 5, 2026) – Trinity Community Coalition Outreach is now the recipient of a new E-transit refrigerated van and Level 2 charging station gifted to the local nonprofit organization through Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program to support picking up fresh food and redistributing to those in need. On August 5, both Trinity Community Coalition Outreach staff and Whole Foods Market team members at the Whole Foods Market Poplar Avenue store will celebrate by filling the van to the brim with donated products, bound for community members experiencing food insecurity.

“We’re thrilled to further support Trinity Community Coalition Outreach food rescue efforts to nourish the greater Memphis community. This van will not only transport more rescued food to those in need but also help reduce food waste and emissions, creating lasting positive change for our community and environment.”

Sofia Winters, Community Giving Team Leader for Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods Market launched Nourishing Our Neighborhoods in September 2020 and has donated over 100 refrigerated vans to food rescue partners to transport food to communities across the U.S., Canada and the U.K. These food rescue partners participate in the company’s Grocery Rescue Program – picking up food from their stores weekly and redistributing it to feed neighbors fresh, high-quality food as quickly as possible.
